Why risk my TREK Speed Concept when there's insurance available?

I initially reached out to my home insurance provider, but their quote for a "SCHEDULED RIDER" on my homeowner's insurance was 10% of my bike's value annually, which I found ridiculously expensive. When I declined the quote, the agent referred me to Markel Bike Insurance, but their rates were also a fortune.

I have been an avid road cyclist who has unfortunately had a bicycle accident. I did the Polling House race in Maryland without bike insurance, which involved a Canyon road bike accident. I didn't see the crash involving the Canyon bike, but I heard about it secondhand.

USAC's Official Bike Insurance, BikeInsure, made me realize the significance of having a separate bike insurance policy for my S-Works. Living in California, I now understand that bike insurance is a must-have! I have enrolled in BikeInsure and am ready to ride.

I'm excited to participate in my first gravel event, the Belgian Waffle Ride. I've heard only positive things about how BWR organizes its events, so I'm confident it will be a great experience. I've registered for the BWR triple, including Arizona, Utah, and California gravel events.

I learned about bike insurance, specifically BikeInsure, through a conversation. I recently purchased a custom bike due to my 6'9" height. In the conversation about BikeInsure, I learned that my homeowners policy does not cover my new bike, which surprised me.

I bought my 2022 All Cities Space Horse for my year-long, 7,000-mile bicycle tour through 22 states. During the Gran Fondo National Series ride in Maryland on Sunday, I was introduced to BikeInsure by a friend.
