"BikeInsure makes it easy for our members to protect their mountain bikes, including e-bikes, from theft, transit damage, and even accidents that may occur while riding. Knowing many of our members travel for destination riding, and regularly transport their bikes to trailheads in their local and regional communities, IMBA members will be stoked to have BikeInsure's Transit Protection included when they sign up."
"USA Triathlon has selected BikeInsure as the organization's Official Bicycle Insurance partner, bringing affordable, opt-in bicycle insurance to USA Triathlon members. Our partnership with BikeInsure aims to reduce the financial risk of owning a triathlon bike through bike insurance. Members who enroll with BikeInsure are only a small BikeInsure deductible away from getting back on the road in case of a bike accident or theft."
"This ain't your grandma's insurance. While others focus on your home's meltdown, we're here for your two-wheeled love. BikeInsure's got the lowdown on all bikes, especially those gritty gravel machines. Forget the fine print – they cover everything, from your custom accessories to that rad component upgrade you just had to have."
"The League of American Bicyclists Celebrates BikeInsure as Official Bike Insurance Partner. With BikeInsure, you can protect your bicycle or e-bike and enjoy the 'peace of mind' that comes with knowing that you're only a $100 deductible from getting back on the road if a bike crash happens."
Trek Speed Concept
Why risk my TREK Speed Concept when there's insurance available?
I initially reached out to my home insurance provider, but their quote for a "SCHEDULED RIDER" on my homeowner's insurance was 10% of my bike's value annually, which I found ridiculously expensive. When I declined the quote, the agent referred me to Markel Bike Insurance, but their rates were also a fortune.
My continued search showed that USA Triathlon partnered with BikeInsure and even gave a discount for members. BikeInsure's sign-up process was dead simple, and the pricing was very reasonable. I feel at ease knowing my triathlon bike is insured!
Specialized Tarmac
The last thing I would have ever wanted was to have an accident. The last thing I would have ever wanted was to destroy a bike. But I race, I had a bike accident, and I destroyed the bicycle.
BikeInsure was the best $25 bucks I have ever spent.
Beyond the insurance claim, the best part about this whole experience has been your level of customer service. You have personally called after my signup, have followed up, been extremely professional, beyond friendly and genuinely cared about me as a person. That is unmatched anywhere else.
Transition Repeater
I recently purchased a Transition Repeater eMountain Bike and was recommended to BikeInsure by Brown County Bike Shop for insurance for my eBike.
Signing up with BikeInsure was super easy.
Specialized Turbo Tero
I highly recommend getting your bike insured with Bikeinsure!
Buzzy, the BikeInsure CEO, was a pleasure to work with - very hands-on. He provided me with excellent customer service.
I feel confident that if I experience damage to or a loss of my bike that I will be covered with Bikeinsure!
Bianchi Oltre
I refer to Ivo, the owner of Dragonspine Cycling in Chicago, as a prince because he is the classiest dude in the bike shop business. He not only hooked me up with my dream bike but also guided me to BikeInsure, which IMO, is the most reasonable and practical option with a great reputation.
I visited BikeInsure.com and was thrilled to find terrific bike insurance to cover my Bianchi Oltre.
I signed up at 9:00 PM CST, and minutes later, I received a welcoming call from BikeInsure.
When BikeInsure gets a ton of sign-ups from Chicago, they will all be my friends who were referred by me!
Orbea Orca
I needed some piece of mind before traveling with my new bike to events. Knowing that Bikeinsure is an official partner of USACycling, combined with a website and sign-up progress that is clear and straightforward made choosing them a no-brainer. I got a policy with everything I needed, nothing that I don't, at a very reasonable price.
Factor Ostro
I recently visited the USA Cycling website for a different purpose and stumbled upon a tile named BikeInsure in the Membership Benefits Portal. I had no idea bike insurance was even a thing, so I decided to learn more about it. After reading through the details, I was impressed and signed up for a separate bike insurance policy for my Factor Road Bike.
We live in Minnesota, where hailstorms are common, so we have suitable homeowner's insurance in case of any damage to our house. However, having a separate insurance policy for my bike is a brilliant idea. It will keep my homeowner's insurance safe from bike-related accident or theft claims and vice versa. I'm going to recommend BikeInsure to my cycling club friends as well.
Catrike Villager
My wife and I are both in our 80s and recently purchased two Catrike Villager e-bikes. We considered the possibility of falling on a traditional bicycle while riding. Hence, we decided to get trikes! I contacted my homeowner's insurance agent regarding eBike insurance, but it wasn't feasible.
However, once I received the newsletter from the League of American Bicyclists announcing BikeInsure as The League's Official Bike Insurance Partner, I knew we had found a reliable eBike insurance solution. We now have a single BikeInsure policy covering both our electric bikes.
Factor Ostro VAM
My bike shop, Cadence Cyclery, recommended BikeInsure.
I had several questions about how my custom-built Factor Ostro VAM could be insured. I contacted BikeInsure's customer service at 888-BIKEINSURE, who provided all the answers. They were very helpful in understanding all my bike's accessories and components and explaining how everything could be included in the bike definition on the policy. With BikeInsure's comprehensive coverage, I now have the peace of mind and confidence that comes with knowing my bike is protected. I will recommend BikeInsure to my cycling buddies.
My dog loves the bike as much as I do!
Trek Domane+
I have been an avid road cyclist who has unfortunately had a bicycle accident. Although I have never participated in a Belgian Waffle Ride, my husband has done a BWR before, so I joined their email list. While reading their newsletter titled "BELGIAN WAFFLE RIDE OFFERS ACCESS TO THE BEST BIKE INSURANCE!" I learned about BikeInsure.
Now, my Trek Domane+ has a bike insurance policy. Hopefully, I will never need to use it, but at least I have peace of mind knowing my eBike is insured.
Factor Ostro VAM
I worked for Leanda Cave, and she recommended BikeInsure to me. Leanda is a two-time Ironman World Champion and has known BikeInsure for years. Interestingly, aside from giving me the BikeInsure suggestion, she also had her husband sign up his Pinarello for BikeInsure because he had a nice bike that was in a crash with no insurance, so when he bought a new bike, BikeInsure became a priority!
I race in Tucson and am thrilled to have my Factor Ostro VAM BikeInsure'd! I've done a Belgian Waffle Ride and had an accident, so I know the importance of having this bike insured. The sign-up was super easy.
I will make sure to mention BikeInsure to everyone I see riding a bike!
Trek Domane
I searched for bike insurance for my Trek Domane SLR on Google and compared BikeInsure to Velosure. While browsing, I discovered that BikeInsure is the Official Bike Insurance provider for USA Cycling. Seeing BikeInsure on the USA Cycling website gave me added confidence in my BikeInsure selection. The sign-up was pretty simple.
Giant TCR
I recently discovered the existence of bike insurance while reading the USA Cycling newsletter.
The newsletter discussed BikeInsure, the official bike insurance of USA Cycling.
Despite already having homeowners insurance with State Farm, I found it impressive that BikeInsure would not impact our State Farm policy in case of a bike claim.
Signing up was incredibly easy, almost suspiciously, but I trusted the legitimacy of the process due to its association with USAC. After registering our bikes, we received a call from BikeInsure. Yes, it was on a Sunday evening, and it was great because BikeInsure provided excellent customer service.
Trek Rail
While browsing a bike shop website, I stumbled upon BikeInsure. As a proud owner of two electric mountain bikes - the Specialized Turbo Levo Comp Carbon and Trek Rail 9.9 - that cost me around $17,000, I was concerned that my homeowner's insurance policy did not cover eBikes.
To my delight, BikeInsure offers my desired insurance coverage for eBikes, which was a great relief for me and other owners who have spent a lot of money on their electric bikes. I was impressed with how easy it was to sign up for my two eMountain bikes in the BikeInsure program. Moreover, their customer service follow-up was outstanding. I highly recommend BikeInsure to my cycling friends.
Colnago C68
Although my racing days are long behind me, I have kept my USA Cycling Membership. To celebrate my 60th birthday, I recently went on a bike tour and started participating in Gran Fondos.
When I visited the USA Cycling website to find a provider for bicycle insurance, I came across BikeInsure. I clicked the link and signed up promptly, and 30 seconds later, I received a welcome call from the BikeInsure CEO. It was great to hear that my bicycle insurance for my Colnago bike also covers my Campagnolo Super Record EPS and BORA Carbon Wheelset.
Specialized SL8
I live in California and knew I needed bike insurance for my Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL8 - SRAM Red eTap AXS, so I searched for "Bike Insurance" on Google. After reading all the reviews of the few bike insurance companies, I settled on BikeInsure.
I will tell my friends about BikeInsure because home insurance does not do what BikeInsure does.
Giant TCR
Imagine being on a group ride when asked, "Do you have BikeInsure for your bike?"
I had never heard of bike insurance.
When my cycling buddy, who has his bike insured with BikeInsure, advises me to get bike insurance for my Giant bike, I take him to Starbucks to thank him.
I signed up when I realized I could go without Starbucks for a few days, but BikeInsure was a must-have for peace of mind while riding. The BikeInsure signup was quicker than getting a latte at Starbucks, and it's surprisingly affordable.
I can't imagine what I would have done without insurance if anything happened to my bike.
CoMotion Cascadia
I recently moved to Oregon from California and work for a school district. However, I became aware of bike theft issues in the area, which made me nervous about riding my Co-Motion Cascadia Bicycle to work. That feeling changed when I signed up with BikeInsure.
I received an email from the League of American Bicyclists, of which I have been a member for a dozen years, announcing a Membership Exclusive! The League introduced me to BikeInsure, and now I have a bike insurance policy that covers my favorite bicycle for any potential cycling accidents or theft.
Giant TCR Advanced
I participated in a Navy cycling race at Polling House. While racing, I collided with another cyclist who crashed and broke his Canyon bike into three pieces. This crash made me realize the importance of having bike insurance. I had been considering getting insurance for my Giant bike for a while, but after this pileup, I immediately visited the USA Cycling website. I found that BikeInsure is the official bike insurance company of USA Cycling.
I promptly got coverage for my road bike, which included my ENVE Wheelset. Now, I can rest easy knowing that my bike is fully insured in case of any future accidents. BikeInsure, Thanks for making it easy!
Trek Madone SLR9
My friend had an accident with his white pearl TREK Madone bike, and fortunately, BikeInsure paid for the replacement frame that was cracked.
When I heard my friend had to only lay out $100 to cover the accident deductible, I realized that I should get BikeInsure for my two TREK Madone's immediately.
The sign up was too easy and the customer service call was awesome because we got the specifics of each of my bikes dialed in perfectly for the policy.
Bearclaw Beaux Jaxon
It's a nice touch that the BikeInsure CEO calls to welcome you. I say this because I am a longtime BikeInsure customer for my Bearclaw gravel bike.
I just signed up for my new We Are One Arrival 152 mountain bike, and the welcome call rang again.
It's not as though Fred Smith, CEO of FedEx, has ever called me when I ship a package.
BikeInsure is an excellent value for my bike insurance, and I will recommend it to all my mountain biking friends.
Trek Emonda SL6
I did the Polling House race in Maryland without bike insurance, which involved a Canyon road bike accident. I didn't see the crash involving the Canyon bike, but I heard about it secondhand.
I wanted to get bike insurance because I know crashes are sometimes an unavoidable part of the cycling sport.
I have health insurance that would cover most medical costs if I were to crash. I also have insurance on other expensive items like my car and condo, so it makes sense to get BikeInsure for a fairly expensive TREK Emonda as well.
Bike insurance buys some 'piece of mind' and is less costly than having a second race bike, even a cheaper/older bike.
Specialized Tarmac SL6
I was racing a crit down in Texas with a teammate who had just purchased a brand new $12,000 bike 5 days prior. Unfortunately, my buddy was involved in a crash with only 100 meters to go in the race. This crash resulted in his brand-new bike having a snapped frame and wheelset.
After realizing the amount of loss he had to endure due to not having or even knowing about bike insurance, I realized that if I were to have that happen to my bike, I would not be able to replace my beautiful steed.
A few days later, I received an email from USA Cycling mentioning Bike Insure, and I knew it was a sign that I NEEDED to insure my bike.
It is a huge peace of mind knowing that my bike is insured in the event of an accident!
Trek Madone
I researched Bike Insurance to ensure that my Trek SLR7, which I consider my baby, is protected. Yes, my bike is like one of my kids. BikeInsure's sign-up process was easy. I even included expensive accessories like my Garmin Edge 540 computer, Garmin Varia Radar, Shimano Pedals, lights, and a bag.
Now, I have bike insurance to go with my home and car insurance. The CEO even called to welcome me personally and answered my questions with great clarity. I am confident I made the right choice and am in good hands with BikeInsure.
Specialized Tarmac SL7
I was surprised to receive a call from BikeInsure early on a Sunday morning after signing up, but I'm glad they did. My Father gave me a nice Specialized Tarmac bike, and a teammate from my U.S. Naval Academy Cycling Team recommended insuring my race bike with BikeInsure.
I have insured my expensive bike and all the accessories/components I bought separately. As a college student, I wouldn't have been able to afford repairs in case of a crash, so having BikeInsure was a smart choice and provided me with great peace of mind.
Felt IA 2.0
I just returned from taking my new Felt IA 2.0 bike for her maiden voyage. It was a great feeling to have 'peace of mind' that my Felt Triathlon Bicycle was BikeInsure'd in case of an accident.
The phone call from the BikeInsure CEO after purchasing my policy was a nice personal touch. Thank you, and I will share my experience with others.
Lectric XP
I currently travel full-time around the country in my RV. After losing my last e-bike, I went without one for a year. I've always wanted a LECTRIC e-bike and was thrilled to get the XP Lite.
I have guarded my $1,000 electric bike with my life and wanted to get insurance for it. A friend introduced me to BikeInsure via email, and now I can relax knowing that my favorite fun machine is covered.
It was lovely to receive a welcome call from BikeInsure on a holiday weekend. I have many friends who own e-bikes, so I will share my experiences with them so they can also get 'peace of mind' e-bike insurance for their bikes.
Trek Checkpoint
I subscribe to several bike-packing newsletters and am a member of the Adventure Cycling Association. One of the articles mentioned the importance of bike insurance, and since I have an expensive gravel bike, I decided that this was something I needed.
I had a wonderful welcome call with BikeInsure shortly after successfully signing up. Their product is insuring my TREK Checkpoint, and the beauty is that if I ever have an accident or theft claim with BikeInsure, it will not affect my homeowner insurance. I'm glad they created BikeInsure.
Allied Echo
I have two bikes that are both covered under one policy with BikeInsure.
By using my USA Cycling member discount, I got the BikeInsure Policy, and now I have 'peace of mind' knowing that both of my bikes are covered.
Specialized Aethos
After experiencing a cracked frame with my previous Specialized Tarmac bike, my wife suggested I get insurance for my new Specialized Aethos bicycle. I went to Facebook, and it probably heard my wife say bike insurance, and the first thing to pop up was BikeInsure.
The BikeInsure affiliation with USA Cycling was impressive, so I felt secure signing up. Although I hope never to use it, I now have coverage for my new bike, which provides me with peace of mind.
Trek Domane SL5
My last bike was UNinsured and got destroyed while transporting it on my car rack, resulting in a $4,500 loss.
It took me some time to justify spending more money on a new bike, but I missed riding so much that I decided to purchase a TREK Domane SL5, which cost $3,500. I admit I was afraid to ride it without insurance, and my homeowner's insurance was not the solution. Luckily, my friend Matt introduced me to bike insurance, something I had no idea existed. He has BikeInsure, which includes 'transit coverage!'
My only complaint was that TREK did not inform me about the importance of bike insurance, such as BikeInsure when I purchased the bike. If they had, I would've signed up and owned my TREK unafraid from the moment I got it. I lost a few riding days, but I'm relieved my TREK is BikeInsure'd.
Trek Top Fuel
I recently attended a Mountain Bike Race with a few friends. Once the race was completed, we decided to travel to a nearby major city to celebrate our accomplishment.
The last day of our outing, the significant other of one of my friends had her bike stolen. Their expensive lock was cut.
So, when I was at Sandstone Cycles picking up my new Top Fuel, I stumbled upon a BikeInsure brochure with a QR code.
I had no idea bike insurance existed until Sandstone Cycles in New Mexico introduced me to it!
It was very easy to sign and set up. I have my two TREK bikes fully insured for any accident or theft. I will definitely share information about BikeInsure with my fellow riders. Thank you BikeInsure and thank you Sandstone Cycles.
Felt IA
I recently purchased a FELT IA Triathlon Race Bike but would only feel comfortable riding it once I secured bike insurance coverage. I researched insurance for my new bike and discovered BikeInsure on the USA Cycling website. The website answered most of my questions, and even on Saturday, I got clarity on a final question directly from BikeInsure.
I completed the easy online sign-up and am heading outside to 'TRI' my bike with the 'peace of mind' of knowing my bicycle is BikeInsure'd.
Specialized Turbo Creo
I can finally ride with my group again now that I have a Specialized Turbo Creo eBike.
I had been looking online for bicycle insurance, and the other companies that offer eBike insurance are much more expensive. However, today was my lucky day when a friend who is a BikeInsure customer posted about BikeInsure on a Facebook page. I researched it, and WoW, it is just what I have been looking for, so I signed up.
I love Garmin's customer service, but BikeInsure is wonderful and takes customer care to the next level.
I ride with three cycling groups and will post that all my cycling girlfriends should sign up because they need and will love BikeInsure!
Niner RKT 9 RDO
I've been a member of USA Cycling since I was a kid, and it's cool to see USA Cycling partnering with companies like BikeInsure.
Since BikeInsure is USAC's official bike insurance, I confidently signed up for bike insurance for my NINER and TREK mountain bikes.
I appreciate BikeInsure for creating such a great product, and I applaud USA Cycling for recognizing the importance of this partnership.
Every bike needs insurance, and BikeInsure provides the only affordable bike insurance available.
Motobecane Century
I have homeowners’ insurance, but I've read stories that suggest getting separate bicycle insurance for my Gravel Endurance Bike is a good idea.
Now that I have insured my Motobecane Century Pro carbon bike with BikeInsure, I'm relieved that if anything happens to my bike, like an accident or theft, I won't have to worry about it affecting my home insurance policy. Peace of mind is vital.
Trek Domane
I've been racing my 15-year-old TREK bike for years but recently upgraded to a new TREK Domane SLR that I lovingly call Dolly. My Husband, who works in the insurance industry, suggested we get bike insurance and recommended BikeInsure.
Signing up for the bike insurance was so easy we did so as I was preparing supper. I was pleasantly surprised when the CEO of BikeInsure called to welcome me aboard. Now I have coverage for Dolly. I'm thrilled to have this protection for my beloved bike.
Boltcutter High Country
During my Son's birthday party, I talked with friends about bicycle insurance for my Boltcutter High Country gravel bike.
I compete in gravel races, so we checked out the USA Cycling website and discovered that I could insure my bike for competitive cycling events through their partnership with BikeInsure. The sign-up was so easy I completed it in just a few minutes while enjoying the party.
Trek Domane
I had never considered insurance for my Trek until I saw BikeInsure as the Official Bike Insurance of USA Cycling.
The accident insurance was reasonable, $16 bucks monthly in case I wiped out. Although I had never had an accident, I thought, why press my luck? Now I have 'Peace of Mind' BikeInsure coverage for my TREK Domane SL5.
Factor Ostro VAM
I just renewed my USA Cycling membership, which prompted me to look for the BikeInsure perk because I recalled seeing USAC on Instagram last year with BikeInsure.
My USAC membership renewal is complete, and my Factor Ostro VAM has BikeInsure since I signed up for that, too!
Trek Supercaliber
I received the USA Cycling Membership Newsletter, which mentioned "Protect Your Bike with BikeInsure," so I immediately signed up.
I live in Florida, where insurance is crazy expensive, and many people drive without a license or insurance.
USA Cycling introduced me to BikeInsure, which is the bike insurance all Florida cyclists should have!
With BikeInsure, my TREK Supercaliber Mountain Bike is insured as I drive to the trail with it mounted on my car rack. No more worrying about an uninsured motorist destroying my TREK if their car hits it! And, if I crash my bike or someone steals it, it's insured.
Bravo, USA Cycling, for sharing BikeInsure!
Specialized Tarmac
My most recent acquisition is a Specialized Tarmac SL8 road bike. As I prepared for its arrival, I took the time to review the benefits available to me as a member of USA Cycling. USAC's Official Bike Insurance, BikeInsure, made me realize the significance of having a separate bike insurance policy for my S-Works. Living in California, I now understand that bike insurance is a must-have! I have enrolled in BikeInsure and am ready to ride.
Specialized Tarmac SL8
Hi, This was my first time purchasing an expensive carbon fiber bike.
I was not willing to risk losing a huge investment due to theft or accident.
I initially looked at Velosurance, but BikeInsure was more competitive on price.
In addition, the USA Cycling x BikeInsure partnership gave me further peace of mind.
Colnago V3Rs
I race my bike and thought I should go for bike insurance since my Colnago is expensive. As a Gran Fondo New York group member, I participate in Grand Fondo events throughout the year.
Having BikeInsure has made me feel more comfortable as it insures not only my bike but also my Garmin computer, radar, smart light, and dual-sided power meter pedals.
I think BikeInsure is pretty cool!
Specialized Epic Evo
I'm still 'waffling' about participating in the Belgian Waffle Ride this year. So, I went to the BelgianWaffleRide.Bike website to check if the registration was still open. Luckily, it was. While browsing the BWR home page, I noticed the BikeInsure banner. I had planned to sign up with Velosure, but after reviewing BikeInsure, I realized BikeInsure was a better overall bike insurance value and coverage to insure my two bikes.
It was great to receive a welcome call from BikeInsure. I am confident that my bikes are in good hands with BWR's recommended BikeInsure, and I am relieved because my monetary exposure to my bikes is now covered.
Trek Emonda
I am a Vice President at Southern Sierra Cyclists, and I recently learned about BikeInsure, the official bike insurance of the League of American Bicyclists. The BikeInsure association with LAB was the primary reason I chose BikeInsure over Sundays Insurance.
I found that BikeInsure provides complete coverage for my TREK Emonda and TREK Madone at a lower cost, and everything was straightforward. It was also nice to get a welcome call from BikeInsure that ensured my accessories were listed accurately on my policy.
Borealis Keystone
I understand that my Borealis Keystone FAT eBike, which is more expensive than my car, is considered a motorized vehicle by my home insurance. As a result, my home insurance policy could NOT cover my eBike due to the exclusion.
I searched for a solution and came across BikeInsure on Google. I signed up with them so that my eBike could be insured. Immediately after completing my sign-up, I received a call from BikeInsure to welcome me as a customer. During the call, they added my Garmin Edge 530 computer to my eBike definition for the policy.
Trek Domane
I was involved in a crash on the first of December that destroyed my bike. I had Sundays Insurance, and they were slow to respond each time I contacted them regarding the claim. In the end, it took about 5 weeks for my claim to be paid. Because I was dissatisfied with Sundays claim experience, I decided to try another bike insurance company.
Fortunately, I came across BikeInsure, which now covers my Trek Domane SLR. Shortly after I signed up, BikeInsure called to welcome me on board. I'm a retired Army Vet, cycling is my escape and therapy, and knowing BikeInsure has my bike covered is reassuring.
Specialized Tarmac
I am a member of the U.S. Naval Academy cycling team.
I signed up for bike insurance through BikeInsure for my Specialized Tarmac to prepare for the upcoming road season. After crashing out on my last bike at collegiate nationals in 2023, I wanted to ensure that I am just a $100 deductible away from protecting my bike from accidental damage.
Now, many of my teammates and I use BikeInsure knowing that it is trustworthy and reliable.
Thank you again for your help!
Time ADHX
I'm excited to participate in my first gravel event, the Belgian Waffle Ride. I've heard only positive things about how BWR organizes its events, so I'm confident it will be a great experience. I've registered for the BWR triple, including Arizona, Utah, and California gravel events.
After receiving a BWR newsletter recommending BikeInsure, I visited their website and read through the entire FAQ. I decided to get coverage for my TIME ADHX bike through BikeInsure, which will give me peace of mind during the BWRs.
Gazelle Arroyo
My previous Gazelle ebike was stolen in June, and I wish I had known about bike insurance earlier. That $4,000+ bike theft experience was when I learned that my Liberty Mutual Homeowners Insurance did NOT cover my eBike.
I ride my Gazelle ebike instead of driving a car. Thankfully, over the weekend, I received a newsletter from Bicycle Colorado and learned about a member benefit called BikeInsure. I realized that BikeInsure seemed my perfect ebike insurance solution, and the Bicycle Colorado endorsement was all I needed to enroll.
The BikeInsure sign-up was really easy, and I appreciate the welcoming BikeInsure call a few hours after signing up!
Giant Trance
The bike trail nearest me is about nine miles away, so I must drive my car. And in Florida, you never know which driver doesn't have auto insurance, so my Giant Mountain Bike must have bike insurance if it ever gets hit by a car while I drive to the bike trail.
I called Progressive, and they wanted to add an expensive rider to cover my bike. So I Googled bike insurance, and I found BikeInsure and Velosurance. Velosurance wanted $45 more a month. I don't need the extra stuff that Velosurance has.
I need coverage in case someone steals my bike, or there is a crash. BikeInsure is great for what I want. I'm so comfortable with the BikeInsure purchase and am grateful for the personalized welcome call.
Trek Domane SLR
Trek and BikeInsure are two great brands that I have been a longtime customer of.
I appreciate the ease of removing the Trek Checkpoint bike I sold from my BikeInsure policy and, without interruption, insuring the new Trek Domane SLR fluorescent yellow bike I just got. The process was so simple and convenient that it made me feel at ease.
Now that carbon fiber bikes with high-end components are in the $12,000+ price range, bike insurance is more important than ever to protect that investment (and freedom machine!).
I can now ride every day with the confidence that my pricey bike is covered and protected from theft, damage, and other problems. That's a lot of peace of mind for just under $25 per month. Most appreciatively, as always--
3T Exploro RaceMax
It was another great Belgian Waffle Ride event in Arizona this year! It's always fun to pick up the race packet as it is filled with useful items and I was pleased to see a card from BikeInsure included this year. As I have been considering traveling with my bike I thought it was a great time to sign up.
BikeInsure offers a highly competitive product that is affordably priced and has outstanding damage coverage for your bike as well as the option for additional theft coverage. No need to mess with homeowner’s insurance that can potentially lead to dropped coverage and higher rates not to mention the much higher deductibles!
I love the peace of mind that comes with BikeInsure and I hope to never have to use it. I couldn’t ask for a better product to protect my 3T Explore RaceMax and all of its accessories.
Trek Madone
As a Florida resident, I wanted to avoid potential risks to my Trek Madone SLR 7, so I decided to insure it and a second Trek Emonda bicycle with BikeInsure.
The sign-up process was easy, taking only a few minutes.
I now know that my family's bikes have excellent coverage by a specialized insurance policy designed specifically for bicycles and separate from my homeowner's insurance policy.
DirtySixer MTB
I learned about bike insurance, specifically BikeInsure, through a conversation. I recently purchased a custom bike due to my 6'9" height. In the conversation about BikeInsure, I learned that my homeowners policy does not cover my new bike, which surprised me.
I purchased both the policy with BikeCoverage and TheftProtect. I have not filed a claim and hope to never have to, but I ride and transport my bike with great peace of mind. The peace of mind component to me is a no brainer as to why every rider who made a significant investment in their bike should get BikeInsure.
Trek Boone
I was initially planning on using Velosurance for my Trek Boone. While shopping around a bit, I saw that BikeInsure was the Official Bike Insurance partner of USA Cycling. After comparing their offerings, I discovered that BikeInsure was clearly the better choice. The process of signing up was quick and easy. I have absolutely no regrets about my decision to choose BikeInsure and recommend them to everyone I know.
Wilier Granturismo
I discovered BikeInsure through USA Cycling and decided to sign up. While I appreciated the international coverage offered by the much pricier Sundays Insurance during my visit to Italy, I found that the reasonably priced BikeInsure is a better bike insurance solution long-term, especially since I spend most of my time at home in the United States.
Trek Madone
I have been a longtime customer of BikeInsure for my TREK Madone P1, which had my favorite bright orange color.
While sometimes things change, it's great when some things stay the same. I recently upgraded from my 2019 TREK Madone to a brand new TREK Madone Project One with my signature bright orange.
Before I rode my bike, I contacted BikeInsure for bike insurance.
The best part was that all I had to do was update my information about the new bike since my original Madone was already insured with them. BikeInsure quickly updated my policy by removing my old TREK and adding the 2024 model. There were no fees, and I still have the same 'peace of mind' with BikeInsure bicycle insurance!
Liv Langma
After getting my LIV Langma bike fit from the absolute best Richardson Bike Fit, I saw a flyer for BikeInsure. At that time, I was only aware of one bike insurer besides my home insurance. As my current policy was getting ready to expire, the BikeInsure flyer sparked my interest in shopping around.
I found BikeInsure to be the best value, with a low deductible, excellent coverage, and great reviews.
Cannondale Moterra 4
I'm on a flip phone. I'm not very tech savvy. When I need to order something from Amazon, I ask my son to place the order and pay him in cash.
So when my buddy saw my Cannondale eBike, he told me to sign up for BikeInsure. I went to the website and got it done because it was easy. My homeowner's insurance wouldn't do what BikeInsure does for my eBike - crash and theft coverage. BikeInsure even covers my mountain bike when it's on my car bike rack as I drive to a destination ride.
I'm going to tell my buddy I signed up. And then tell my other cycling friends to get BikeInsure because they all have nice bikes.
Obed Boundary
I have a license with USA Cycling. Even though I already had bike insurance with another company, I came across the BikeInsure USA Cycling partnership on the membership portal and decided to try it.
As an Allied Echo and Obed Boundary owner, having insurance for my bikes is crucial. I switched to BikeInsure because their accident and theft coverage for both bikes was much less expensive than my previous insurance provider. Signing up, even with all of my bike accessories, was easy!
Litespeed C1R
I have been aware for some time that I needed a bicycle insurance policy for my three bikes living in California. Recently, I contacted BikeInsure to inquire about coverage for my Pinarello Dogma, Colnago C68, and Litespeed C1R. As I am always on the go and commuting around LA, I gathered my bike information and brought it with me to make the most of my time. I called BikeInsure directly and dictated the variables of each bike, and they accurately got all the bikes insured for me in just a few minutes. Now, I have an excellent bike insurance policy, which gives me peace of mind. All that's left to do is to find time to ride them!
Specialized Tarmac SL7
I am an international college student studying in Boston. One of my friends recommended I get bike insurance from BikeInsure, as she knows that I own a nice bike.
The sign-up process was easier than making a pizza, and the BikeInsure follow-up was very helpful. It is great to have my Specialized bike insured.
Giant Trance
When I received my IMBA membership packet in the mail, along with my FREE IMBA socks, I noticed a card that said, "Got Membership, Got Bike, Get BikeInsure."
I scanned the code and signed up for bike insurance. After all, I've got a $3,000 Giant Trance bike. I pay finance charges through Affirm, so why wouldn't I want to insure it for just a few dollars more monthly?
When I find other cycling friends to ride with, I will recommend that they don't wait to sign up for BikeInsure and protect their ride.
Specialized Tarmac
I found BikeInsure with a quick ping on Google.
Living in a high-traffic area of Los Angeles, I wanted to ensure my Specialized Tarmac was covered with an individual bike insurance policy to give me peace of mind.
As a California resident, having a bike insurance policy is essential when owning a nice bike.
Felt AR Advanced
My City Bikes sales representative in Florida recommended BikeInsure to me. The sign-up for BikeInsure was 1-2-3, easy, too easy. It showed me the accident coverage I desired, and I added the theft protection.
Shortly after completing my enrollment, the BikeInsure CEO called to ensure I had all my questions answered. I told him the good news is that the BikeInsure website was very informative, so I understood what I purchased, yet the call reassured me of my decision. I'm thrilled that my brand new Felt bike is BikeInsure'd.
Orbea Orca Aero
I saved for a long time to buy myself a 35th birthday present, but I'm a relatively new racer and still navigating Cat 4 fields. I didn't want to leave my brand new baby behind when it mattered, and a couple more experienced friends recommended BikeInsure with the USAC discount. So here we are!
I'm so excited to have a reasonable insurance option to keep my Orbea bike covered while I race it!
Canyon Aeroad
Thank you for your welcome call, BikeInsure.
I searched for 'bike insurance' on Google and found BikeInsure. The sign-up process was simple, but I felt even better after BikeInsure called me because they answered all my questions. It was reassuring, and now I am pleased to have all the components of my bike insured, including the Canyon Aeroad, SRAM RED eTap Groupset, Power Meter, Crankset, Garmin Computer and Radar, and my Look Keo Blade Pedals.
Specialized Creo
I have never ridden in a Belgian Waffle Ride before, but a year ago, I got my Specialized Gravel eBike, and this April, I am participating in the 80-mile Waffer in San Diego, California. I contacted my State Farm homeowner's insurance for ebike insurance, but complete coverage for my gravel bike was impossible under their policy. I also looked into Markel Bike Insurance, but it was so expensive that I got turned off.
Then, the Belgian Waffle Ride sent me an email newsletter that said, "Protect your bike for the BWR with BikeInsure, our Official Bike Insurance partner." I researched BikeInsure and had one question, which I emailed them on a Sunday night at 7:PM California time. The response came back immediately at 10:PM Washington DC time. I am happy to say that I have signed up for the ride, and my bike is insured, thanks to Belgian Waffle Ride and BikeInsure! They are both fantastic!
Trek Madone
Of all the bikes I own, this TREK is my favorite.
However, I was hesitant to ride it often because I feared something happening to it.
This bike replaced my first TREK Madone, which was unfortunately destroyed in a crash. At that time, I had no insurance on the bike and had to cover the costs out of pocket. I searched extensively for reasonably priced insurance before and after the incident, but nothing made sense.
Then, I discovered BikeInsure from USA Cycling, and signing up was a no-brainer.
Since then, my newest Madone has seen more action, and it's great knowing that my insured Trek only has a $100 bike insurance deductible if another accident happens.
Mercier Kilo
Bicycle insurance was another suggestion from my parents as we planned my upcoming cycling trips.
I am excited about my bicycling trips from Cleveland to Columbus, Ohio, and then cross-country from Washington, DC, to Seattle, Washington. I have saved up for my $700 Mercier Kilo GX bicycle and want to ensure that I am prepared for any riding accident during my trips.
With BikeInsure, the bike insurance is only a $100 deductible to ensure I can get my bike back on the road quickly if anything happens. Additionally, my BikeInsure theft protection will give me peace of mind, knowing that if my bike is stolen, I won't be out the total bike price to replace it.
BMC Teammachine
I decided to get BikeInsure for my BMC Teammachine after hearing positive reviews from my cycling friends who also use BikeInsure. Although I participate in races, I mainly use my bike for daily rides. The road can be unpredictable, and I often wonder about potential risks. What if a deer suddenly crosses my path and causes a collision that damages my bike? What if a crash breaks the derailleur? What if the frame suffers significant damage in an accident? These worries are valid, as replacing bicycle components can be expensive. However, with BikeInsure, I have specialized insurance to alleviate these concerns.
Look Vitesse
I travel quite a bit with my bike to participate in track races. I am in LA for the USA Track National Championships with my LOOK Vitesse race bike, and I didn't want to continue worrying about my expensive bike. Therefore, I visited the USAC website to look for bike insurance.
I noticed that BikeInsure was the official bike insurance of USA Cycling, so I checked out their coverage and was pleased to see that BikeInsure was exactly what I needed.
My ultimate goal is to qualify for the Olympics, and I'm hoping that the 'peace of mind' I now have with BikeInsure for my bike will help me make the team!
Specialized Tarmac SL8
I recently bought my dream bike from Cadence Cyclery in my home state of Texas.
The Cadence bike shop owner highly recommended BikeInsure for comprehensive bike insurance for my new Specialized Tarmac SL8.
I took the advice, and now I'm reassured that my Specialized bike, Garmin computer and radar, Wahoo Speedplay pedals, and Specialized saddle are fully insured under a bike-specific policy by BikeInsure.
I hope I never need bike insurance, but I know that at only $24.99 monthly for crash, transit, and theft coverage, I can't afford not to have BikeInsure for my dream bike!
Thank you, Cadence Cyclery, for recommending BikeInsure!
Trek Madone
Signing up with BikeInsure was straightforward compared to my previous bike insurance company, Velosure.
The process was brief, and I found it much more appealing than the one I used before. A cycling teammate of mine has his bike insured with BikeInsure and recommended it as a USA Cycling Insurance Partner, and I have found that their rates are much more reasonable than Velo's.
Santa Cruz Stigmata
I had already used BikeInsure to cover my mountain bike, so when I decided to buy a gravel bike, it was an easy decision to have BikeInsure cover my new one as well.
The great service and help from BikeInsure CEO Buzzy and the peace of mind knowing that whatever happens with my Santa Cruz bike, It's covered make it well worth it!
BMC Teammachine SLR
I race my BMC Teammachine a lot and decided to get bike insurance.
After receiving recommendations for BikeInsure from Bike Doctor, Richardson Bike Fit, and my racing teammate, all of whom spoke highly of BikeInsure, I decided to go ahead and purchase bike insurance.
I will suggest BikeInsure to my cycling team and look forward to seeing BikeInsure at the College Park Criterium Race in April.
Specialized Diverge
During the Grand Fondo National Series packet pickup, I came across a marketing card for bike insurance and decided to sign up for it. The BikeInsure booth caught my attention, and I figured it would be a good idea to insure my Specialized Diverge E5 EVO for 'peace of mind.'
I've had a few crashes in the past, so having BikeInsure is reassuring.
Canyon Endurace
Bike insurance was the only thing missing for my Canyon Endurace for 'peace of mind' riding enjoyment. That changed when I found BikeInsure.
BikeInsure is the most reasonably priced and best theft, crash, and commute coverage for a bike.
Regardless of the streets of Florida or RAGBRAI, my Canyon is ready with BikeInsure!
Trek Domane
I have been a member of The League of American Bicyclists for a few years. I previously noticed bike insurance on the bikeleague.org website and researched it. I knew having BikeInsure for my TREK Domane would benefit me, but I got sidetracked and didn't sign up. When I saw it again, I made a point to sit down and get BikeInsure.
The sign-up process for BikeInsure was smooth and very intuitive. I'm grateful that Bike League partners with BikeInsure because I might never have realized the importance of bike insurance without them.
Ozark Trail Ridge
As a cyclist on a budget, I am training for a bike-packing excursion that spans a gnarly 2800 miles from Banff, Canada to Antelope Wells, New Mexico (also known as the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route or Tour Divide).
So, I went to my local Walmart and purchased an Ozark Trail Ridge mountain bike that cost about $400. Besides the bike, I invested about $1,200 in all the bike-packing equipment, so I wanted to make sure I had insurance to keep it all safe.
I looked all around for bike insurance and chose BikeInsure when I saw it on the trusted IMBA member portal.
I signed up with BikeInsure because they cover both my bike and all the attached equipment. If it's stolen, all my gear is covered, and if I ever crash and damage my bike during my southbound excursion, I can stop at any Walmart, get a bike replacement, swap all my backpacking gear, and ride on!
Specialized Venge
I discovered BikeInsure while browsing through USA Cycling bike insurance forums. After four years with Sundays, I decided to compare their product with BikeInsure, the official bike insurance partner of USA Cycling. I primarily use my Specialized S-Works Venge for criterium racing, and I believe having bike insurance is vital because you never know when you might need it.
Especially in California, where I live, it's crucial to have specialty bike insurance because it's not worth the risk of losing your homeowner's insurance over a bike accident. I'm satisfied with my decision to switch to BikeInsure and will recommend it to our race group.
Trek Emonda
As a resident of Hawaii, I became worried about the increasing problem of bike theft and started looking into ways to insure my TREK Emonda Road Bike. I found out that BikeInsure is the only bike insurance company in Hawaii offering complete coverage against bike theft and cycling accidents.
Since I am a member of USA Cycling, I frequently visit their website for guidance when making purchases. So, I was thrilled to learn that BikeInsure is the official Bike Insurance provider of USA Cycling. The sign-up process was super EASY. Mahalo.
Wilier Zero
Thank you for the informative welcome call, BikeInsure. It was great speaking with you. I have already referred another fellow cyclist to BikeInsure so they can get their bike covered, just like I did for my Wilier Zero SLR with Roval Rapide Wheels and Specialized S-Works Venge with Zipp 454 Wheels.
All-City Space Horse
I bought my 2022 All Cities Space Horse for my year-long, 7,000-mile bicycle tour through 22 states. In the process, I went through some cities that are known for bicycle theft, including New York City, Boston, Washington DC, Miami, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston, New Orleans, Tallahassee, and Tampa.
I often slept outside in a tent. Sometimes, in urban areas. Sometimes, I interviewed people about climate change in a building and had to lock the bicycle up outside, including once in San Francisco.
I slept better knowing BikeInsure insured the best bike I've ever owned.
Trek Emonda
A few days after insuring my Factor bicycle with BikeInsure, I added my Trek Emonda SLR7 to a policy for 'peace of mind' coverage of both bikes.
I now have a Liberty Mutual Home Insurance Policy for my house and a BikeInsure Policy for my bikes! This way, I can protect my bikes with BikeInsure while safeguarding my homeowner's insurance because making multiple claims on my home policy could cancel my home insurance.
Even if you have homeowner's insurance, it's worth getting BikeInsure for your bike!
Specialized Tarmac
During the Gran Fondo National Series ride in Maryland on Sunday, I was introduced to BikeInsure by a friend. At mile 60, I made a turn without any issue, but unfortunately, the cyclist behind me crashed into my bike. Luckily, I didn't fall, but my Specialized Tarmac had expensive damage to my rear rim brake and wheel. If only I had BikeInsure!
Unfortunately, most cyclists only consider bike insurance after shit happens to their bike. I immediately signed up for BikeInsure on Monday morning to avoid paying for future accident damages that could occur to my bike.
Trek Fuel EXE
The Bike Line is an awesome bike shop that provides fantastic customer service and advice.
When I purchased my TREK FUEL EXE eMountain Bike from them, they gave me info on BikeInsure, which made me aware of how crucial it is to have insurance for my eBike.
I'm heading out for a ride soon now that my TREK is BikeInsure'd!
Lauf Seigla
I researched bike insurance for my Lauf Seigla and compared Velosurance to BikeInsure.
I decided to go with BikeInsure instead of Velosurance because it was more affordable, and Velosurance seemed to have complicated requirements for committing to a one-year commitment.
I'm happy with the coverage provided by BikeInsure, and I appreciate their monthly payment solution with no additional fees for my gravel bike insurance policy.
Specialized Diverge
I came across BikeInsure at the 2023 Gran Fondo Maryland.
The Gran Fondo packet pickup was the first time I had heard of bike-specific insurance, and being the cautious person I am, I signed up right after I finished the race.
I can rest well knowing that if my crash history grows and my bike ends up FUBAR or if an unsavory character decides to snag it, I won't be out another four grand.
Wilier Zero.7
As a former Bike Shop Manager, I sold the founder of BikeInsure his bicycle, which was later involved in a costly cycling accident, which led to the creation of a bike insurance solution specifically for our bikes.
It's unfortunate that the cycling industry assumes that a homeowner's policy will suffice for bike coverage. It is essential to understand that without a separate bike insurance policy, you may risk a significant financial loss in case of theft or accident damage to your valuable bicycle. As a longtime customer of BikeInsure, I strongly recommend the bike insurance I use to protect my Wilier.
Specialized Turbo Creo
My local cycling bike club president sent a message advising that BikeInsure is the League of American Bicyclists' chosen Bike Insurance provider. As a California resident with an eBike, I decided to figure out appropriate coverage for my ride.
I called my homeowner's insurance provider, AAA, twice and got conflicting information. Then I inquired with BikeInsure. I messaged a question about reviewing their policy and immediately had a sample sent to my inbox. I read it and thought the policy seemed legitimate, so I signed up for my Specialized Creo Comp. Shortly after, even though it was a weekend afternoon, BikeInsure called to welcome me. The quick response was impressive, but it was the bicycle insurance discussion that we had that reassured a separate BikeInsure policy has my eBike in good hands!
Pinarello Dogma
Our amazing Team Ravelo sent a WhatsApp notice to all club members about bike insurance.
I clicked on the link, which took me directly to the Team Ravelo BikeInsure sign-up page.
I had been considering bike insurance for some time but had not taken action until my club recommended BikeInsure.
It was Saturday when I signed up, and immediately after, I started encouraging all the other Team Ravelo club members to sign up as well, right away, not tomorrow, but today!
I wish 100% that I never have to use BikeInsure for my Pinarello, but I am glad I have it!
Specialized Enduro Comp
Although I live in Alaska and sometimes feel treated like we are in a foreign country regarding product availability, I was happy to see two competitively priced bike insurance options available for our Specialized Enduro Comp Mountain Bike. I compared BikeInsure with Markel but chose BikeInsure because the website presentations were very clear and seemed to present a better insurance product for our bike. Additionally, BikeInsure offered lower deductibles, and I got the impression that they would be easier to work with if I ever had to make a claim.
I felt reassured when BikeInsure answered my questions during a welcome call, even on a Saturday.
Santa Cruz Stigmata
I recently realized my home insurance policy didn't cover my Enve Melee and Santa Cruz Stigmata bikes. Just as I started looking for bike insurance options for them, I received the Belgian Waffle Ride newsletter, which highlighted the BikeInsure partnership and emphasized the bike insurance I need for gravel bikes like mine.
I've participated in the BWR Ashville, North Carolina, a few times, and I can say that they're a well-organized event that caters to gravel riders like me who want to have fun. I trust the BWR recommendation, so I signed up with BikeInsure, which was painlessly easy, and my bikes will now be gravel-grinding, and BikeInsure'd.
Mondraker Raze R
Thanks to IMBA, I signed up for mountain bike insurance. It's fantastic that my Mondraker Raze R, a high-performance mountain bike from Spain, is BikeInsure'd for $16 bucks monthly.
Just before I signed up for the bicycle insurance, I had an accident that busted-up a wheel that cost me over $600 to replace. But now that I have BikeInsure, I can get back on the trails by paying just a $100 deductible if such an accident happens again.
Specialized Roubaix
I'm happy to share that I received my renewal policy from BikeInsure for my Specialized Roubaix.
The bike insurance coverage gives me the necessary 'peace of mind' while riding.
I hope I never need it, but as a cyclist, you are always better off being safe than sorry!
Enve Melee
As an Enve Melee carbon road bike owner, although I hope never to have a bicycle accident or, worse, it gets stolen, having BikeInsure coverage always provides peace of mind.
It's reassuring to know that my bike is insured separately from my house, especially in California. With the news that State Farm, All State, Farmers, and USAA are no longer selling new home insurance policies in California, it's vital to protect what you own. That's why I have my bicycle insured separately from my home with BikeInsure.
